What you will learn
- Write a title tag and meta description for a target keyword
- Structure a page with clear headings that match search intent
- Add internal links that help users and search engines find related pages
On-page SEO means shaping each page so it clearly answers one main search. Give every important page one primary keyword and a few close variations. The title tag is the most important single element: put the main keyword near the start, keep it to around 50 to 60 characters so it is less likely to be cut off, and make it read like something a person would want to click.
The meta description does not directly affect rankings, but it often appears under the title in search results, so it influences clicks. Write around 150 characters that summarise the page and give a reason to visit. Inside the page, use one H1 that states the topic, then H2 and H3 headings for subtopics. Answer the main question early rather than after several paragraphs of introduction.
Internal links connect your pages and show search engines which ones matter most. Link from related articles to your key service pages using descriptive anchor text, such as "kitchen renovation in Rawalpindi", rather than "click here". Add descriptive alt text to images so they make sense to screen readers and image search. Each page should also have a short, readable URL, such as /services/kitchen-renovation.
