Landing pages that turn visitors into enquiries

Learn the parts of an effective landing page: a matching headline, clear benefits, proof, one call to action, and a fast, mobile-friendly layout.

What you will learn

  • Explain how a landing page differs from a homepage
  • Structure a landing page around one offer and one call to action
  • Check a landing page for message match, trust, and mobile usability

A landing page is a page built for one purpose, usually the page an ad or email sends people to. A homepage serves everyone and offers many links; a landing page focuses on one offer and one action. If an ad promises "AC service from PKR 3,000 in Islamabad", the landing page headline should repeat that promise so visitors know they are in the right place. This is called message match.

A reliable structure works for most offers. Start with a headline and subheading that state the benefit, plus a clear button near the top. Then explain what is included, who it is for, and how it works in three simple steps. Add proof: reviews, photos of real work, client logos, or guarantees. Answer common objections in a short FAQ, and repeat the call to action near the end.

Many visitors, especially from social ads, arrive on a phone, so design for mobile first. Keep the page fast by compressing images and avoiding heavy sliders. Use large tap targets, a click-to-call or WhatsApp button, and forms that are easy to complete with a thumb. Remove the main navigation menu if it distracts from the action. Then test the page yourself on a low-cost phone and a slow connection.

Practice task

Find an ad for any local business, click through to its landing page, and score the page out of ten for message match, clarity, proof, and mobile ease, with one fix for each.
