What you will learn
- Write a measurement plan covering tracking, UTMs, and reporting
- Explain how the plan will be reviewed and improved over time
- Present the complete campaign plan clearly to a client or employer
A plan is only credible if you can show how you will know it worked. Write a measurement plan listing each key action, such as form submissions, WhatsApp clicks, and calls, and how it will be tracked: GA4 key events through Google Tag Manager, Google Ads conversion tracking, and the Meta Pixel with Conversions API. Add your UTM naming rules and where leads will be recorded.
Then set the review routine. Describe what you will check weekly, such as spend, search terms, and cost per lead, and what goes into the monthly report to the client. Explain how decisions will be made: which results would lead you to increase a budget, change creative, or stop a channel. This shows the plan is a working system, not a one-off document.
Finally, assemble and present the plan. A clear order is: summary, business brief and audit, goals and KPIs, channels and budget, messages and sample assets, launch calendar, and measurement plan. Keep it short enough to read in fifteen minutes, with tables and visuals instead of long paragraphs. Present it to the business owner, ask for feedback, and save the final version as a portfolio piece.
