CPACost per acquisition

CPA is how much you spend in advertising to win one customer or lead: total campaign cost divided by the number of conversions.

What CPA means

Cost per acquisition, sometimes called cost per action, connects ad spend directly to results. It is the number most businesses actually care about once a campaign is running.

Google Ads and Meta can bid automatically toward a target CPA, but only after conversion tracking is set up correctly and the campaign has enough data to learn from.

Example

A course provider spends PKR 120,000 on Meta Ads and gets 80 enrolment enquiries, a CPA of PKR 1,500 per lead.

Why it matters

Knowing your acceptable CPA, based on what a customer is worth, tells you whether a campaign is profitable and how far you can scale it.
